I discovered myself.
I discovered the voice I had silenced for so long.
The voice that drove me to be strong,
To be the best possible 'me' I could ever be.
I was always afraid of people finding out this other 'me'; the real me.
But now when I am broken, the light shines through the cracks.
It is not the darkness I had expected.
I am facing myself.
It took a while to recognize
But now I see, hear and feel it.
It's been me all along,
The happy, sad, crazy, stupid, sassy, emotional and strong me.
So, I know it's been a long time,
